T cells are involved in cell-mediated adaptive immune responses and uniquely express the T-cell receptor (TCR) on their cell surface. There are a variety of T cell subsets including helper, cytotoxic and regulatory T cells with each type having their own specific functions and characteristics. Cells are sourced from healthy donors from world-renowned blood institutions using Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved consent forms and protocols. Donors are screened for HIV-1, HIV-2, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, human T-lymphotropic virus, syphilis, Chagas and West Nile virus.
